Each year Study Abroad Programs are becoming more and more popular among college and university students. Students want to learn new cultures, improve their language skills, learn new languages, make new friends, experience something new, travel, and fulfill university requirements at the same time. There are lot of reasons to why students should do study abroad programs and we will discuss them below.

Reading is a feature that attracts the attention of educationists and teachers in Sierra Leone. Its ultimate goal is to develop in the child a full range of skills and to apply these where necessary. In Sierra Leone, however, owing to the large number of intake in schools there exists a significant majority of pupils who do not possess fluent reading skills. This situation has been a subject of concern as the role of the teacher and that of the school librarian have been underestimated. This article examines the reading situation in schools and the part to be played by the school librarian to promote the art. |
